DIY Monster Magnet Containers !

Today Kamden and I made our own monster magnet Containers! They are cute and fun for children to make they will need an adult helper depending on their age and ability level.  Materials needed: Clean empty Shampoo or conditioner Bottle Permanent Marker Scissors or Razor Blade Googly Eyes Adhesives Adhesive Magnet Strips Construction Paper The first thing that you are going to do with your clean shampoo bottle is draw out the outline of your monsters. We drew antenna eyes. Next you are going to cut the top off the bottle using your drawing as a guide line. The bottle will now be open on top Glue googly eyes on as many and where ever you want.  We drew a mouth on construction paper with sharp fangs, cut it out and glued it on.  I than took the adhesive magnet strip and stuck it to the back of our monster. It is now on my fridge for holding markers and pens.  Check out the video above!

Spring time wreath

So This weekend I went to a bunch of thrift stores and got some treasures. One of the things I found was a basket of decorative sunflowers. So I grabbed those because they were perfect for the spring time wreath I wanted to hang on my door. Materials: Decorative flowers (any kind you would like ) I chose sunflowers Circle Styrofoam wreath or metal Coat hanger Hot glue gun Gather all your materials  if using a metal coat hanger bend the bottom on it so it is shaped into a circle.  Next you need to pick all the flowers off of their stems and remove the backings of the flower that way it will stick better to the wreath. Removing the backing separates the layers of the flowers so you  will need to use your hot glue gun and glue each layer together  Once you remove all flowers and backings and glue all layers together you can now begin gluing your flowers on the wreath. I like to arrange my flowers to see how they fit before I just start...
